Lonely People.

December 2008? Spent the afternoon with a group of friends on Queen Street.

Front Street, May 2009. On my way to see Doubt at the Bluma Appel Theatre. Pretty intense play, considering the cast was only 4 people.

New York City - Central Park, August 2008. Walking around, killing time before seeing Spring Awakening. It was a really fun day; took the train from Connecticut with my mom, sister, and cousin at 8 in the morning, and spent the day in NYC. Went to Stardust for dinner (a restaurant where the waiters sing and dance on tables, tacky yet fun.) Checked out famous landmarks - how can you go to NYC without hitting up Tiffany's, Wall Street... I'm a city girl, but I don't know if I'd survive in New York. Too much hustle and bustle.
August 2009. Distillery District - Jazz Festival. One of my favourite places to take pictures. D.D. is just full of history, beautiful buildings, wonderful texture.

Cottage Country

Sauble Beach August 2009.

Port Elgin August 2009.

Parry Sound. August 2009. One of the most interesting cottages I've stayed at.
(That bridge was built by the architect of the CN Tower.)

The dock.

Lake of Bays. 2006-2009. I've been going every summer with my best friends to their cottage. Absolutely beautiful cottages, gorgeous sunsets, perfect weather, stunning lakes. Always one of the highlights of my summer.

Sunsets are my favourite part of the day.

Cliff jumping. I'll never go as long as I live! That was the 20 footer I think.

I always enjoy watching people sail, or kayak, or canoe. A few good water skiing wipe-outs here and there are also amusing. (I'm not a masochist.)

View from the cottage.

View of the cottage.

Fun in the slow-setting sun.

Port McNicoll, July 2009. My friend picked me up in his red convertible, stopped for lunch at Horse Shoe Valley, then headed to his cottage for the afternoon. We spent an hour overlooking the lake, watching sail boats passing by, people fishing... it was stunning. I remember just taking it all in - we were silenced by beauty, calmed with the landscape oozing serenity, feeling the breeze tickle our toes and ripples of water whooshing below.

Eye Love You

You've got, the most unbelievable
blue eyes I've ever seen

Nature At Its Finest

Brunswick. July 3 2010. After spending a glorious day at Kensington Market. Bought myself a baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses for under 10 bucks. Only at Kensington. I like the environment there - very down to earth, laid back. It's quite the experience walking around, going into the cheese stores, the bakeries, vintage shops. I searched for a prom dress there once upon a time and failed miserably - I could never pull off vintage. I had a black and white polkadoted dress (super poofy is a must) in mind. I hope to find that dress someday.

I love how everytime you go to K.M. it's always different. Same places, same people, a different story to tell. I had a bowl of some interesting chicken soup. That was a first.

Late June of this year. Bored with a camera. I never noticed that tree.

My backyard - last summer.

My backyard is a very boring place. It's always kind of wild and messy, no one ever goes back there. But I have this beautiful cherry tree with a cute little bird house that is beyond abandoned - it's basically falling apart. And every spring, around May/June, just before the cherries grow, these beautiful white flowers blossom. May is my favourite month, I have recently discovered. Rebirth, new beginning, time for change. Letting go, opening yourself up to new possibilities, letting go of fears and embracing life. It's quite metaphorical to me. May is life changing. Let yourself blossom, let yourself ripen.
